Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Draw Things and its developer ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use our Draw Things application (the "App") and its related services, including our Cloud Compute features.

We take your privacy very seriously. Our goal is to be transparent about the data we handle and to give you control over your information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

Information You Provide Directly (or via Apple Sign-in):

Account Information (Optional): If you choose to sign up for an account to use our Cloud Compute features, we utilize Apple's Sign-in system. Through this, we receive a unique, opaque user identifier provided by Apple (hereinafter "Apple User Identifier"). This Apple User Identifier is used solely for account creation, authentication, and to enable cloud-related features. We do not request or store your direct email address or name as part of the Sign in with Apple process for account creation. If you do not sign in, cloud-related features will be unavailable, and we do not collect this Apple User Identifier.

User-Generated Content for Cloud Compute (Optional):

LoRAs (Learned Low-Rank Adaptations): If you use our Cloud Compute backend, you can upload LoRA files. These files are stored in a content-addressable storage system. You have the option to not share any metadata (such as the LoRA file name) with us. If you choose this option, we will only know the content hash of the LoRA and the LoRA file blob itself.

Information Related to Purchases (Optional):

Subscription Information: If you purchase a subscription for paid features, we will record that you have made a purchase, along with a valid transaction ID provided by Apple. We use this information to validate your subscription with Apple's in-app purchase backend and to provide you with access to the subscribed features. We do not process or store your payment card details; Apple handles all payment processing.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

To Provide and Operate the App and Its Features:

To create and manage your optional user account if you choose to sign up for Cloud Compute features.

To authenticate you and authorize your access to Cloud Compute features.

To store and manage LoRAs that you upload to our Cloud Compute backend, allowing you to use them in your generations.

To Manage Subscriptions:

To validate your subscription status with Apple and unlock paid features.

3. Data Storage and Security

On-Device Data: Most of your creations and data can be stored locally on your device. You are in control of this local data.

Cloud Storage (LoRAs): If you upload LoRAs to our Cloud Compute backend, they are stored in a content-addressable storage system on cloud servers maintained by reputable third-party cloud service providers. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data stored on our cloud infrastructure, including encryption in transit and at rest.

Subscription Information: Your subscription status and transaction IDs are stored securely to manage your access to paid features.

Security Measures: We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to safeguard your personal information against loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, no internet or email transmission is ever fully secure or error-free.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information as follows:

Account Information (Apple User Identifier): Retained as long as your account is active, or until you request account deletion.

Subscription Information (Transaction IDs, Status): Retained as long as your subscription is active and for a reasonable period thereafter as required for financial record-keeping and to comply with Apple's policies.

Uploaded LoRAs: Retained in our Cloud Compute storage until you choose to delete them or delete your account.

Content Hashes (for LoRAs): Retained as long as the corresponding LoRA is stored.

If you delete your account, we will take steps to delete your account information and any associated LoRAs from our servers within a reasonable timeframe, subject to any legal obligations to retain certain information.

5. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

You have certain rights and choices regarding your information:

Access to Your Information: You can access and update your account information (email if provided) through the App.

Deletion of Your Information:

In-App Account Deletion: If you have created an account, you can request the deletion of your account from within the App. Deleting your account will result in the deletion of your Apple User Identifier's association with our service and any LoRAs you have uploaded to our Cloud Compute backend from our active systems.

Deleting LoRAs: You can manage and delete individual LoRAs you have uploaded to Cloud Compute through the App.

Managing LoRA Metadata: You have the choice to upload LoRAs without sharing metadata like filenames with us.

Sign-in Requirement: Using Cloud Compute features requires signing in with your Apple User Identifier. If you do not wish for us to collect this identifier, you can continue to use the on-device features of the App without signing in.

Objecting to Processing or Withdrawing Consent: Where you have provided consent, you can withdraw it. You can also object to our processing of your personal data in certain circumstances. Please contact us to discuss this.

Responding to Requests: We will respond to your requests regarding your personal data in accordance with applicable law.

6. Third-Party Analytics and Advertising Frameworks

Beyond the information Apple provides to developers (which you can control), Draw Things uses no third-party analytics or advertising frameworks for tracking purposes.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the date at the top of the policy and, where appropriate, by other means (such as a notification within the App). We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about our data practices. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Privacy Policy.
